Welcome to Pantanal Ecoexplorer
Environmentally Responsible Tourism
Cuiabá - Mato Grosso - Brazil

PANTANAL ECOEXPLORER is a Brazilian-based tour operator specializing in personalized nature and wildlife tours in the Pantanal and other areas such as the Cerrado, southern Amazon and the Atlantic forest. Our customized or package tours are designed with the flexibility to accommodate inquisitive travelers of  all ages and physical abilities. We cater to small, private groups or to individuals looking for an intimate and flexible travel experience tailored to your particular interests and desired level of physical exertion or relaxation from day to day. Our custom itineraries cost no more than our package tours. We will be happy to work with you to create one.

Why Choose Pantanal Ecoexplorer Tours

It is our policy to design tours and price them in such a way that offers our clients a better value than our competitors. One way we do this is by dealing directly with our clients rather than going through a tour agency in another country. Another consideration should be the exclusivity of your wildlife viewing experience. Carlos Grandez Perez , owner and operator of Pantanal Ecoexplorer Tours, has committed himself to opening up new areas to ecotourism. He has spent years cultivating relationships with private land owners in the Pantanal Region many of whom will allow access only to his tours. These places are located many miles off the main roads accessible only by dirt roads with no names and not on any map. Other areas offer remote fishing lodges which are being used for the first time for wildlife viewing. The result for clients has been the opportunity to view exotic wildlife such as the jaguar with nobody else but the members of their party. Finally, we are committed to the preservation of the environment and benefiting the local community by hiring locals as employees and contract workers., and by making donations to conservation organizations. We believe in responsible tourism and adhere to the strictest codes of ethical and moral conduct towards that end.

Discover the Pantanal and its Diverse Wildlife

This immense, seasonal wetland  is spread over 90,000 square miles making it the worlds largest. In addition to rivers and vast flooded marshes it includes diverse ecological sub-regions such as lakes, wet and dry forests, and grasslands. It cuts across the states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul in Brazil and into eastern Bolivia and northeaster Paraguay. While not as well known as the Amazon no other area of Brazil offers the ease of viewing such a diversity of wildlife. From the ubiquitous Hyacinth Macaws, the mostly nocturnal tapir and giant anteater, monkeys, playful giant otters,  and Toco Toucans to the reclusive jaguar all are possibilities in this giant and very natural wildlife display.
