Departures: Our trips are completely tailor-made and departures can be arranged all year. This itinerary is simply a suggestion which can be modified entirely to your personal wishes including departure date, duration, accommodation used and how long you spend in the area.
DAY 1 – CUIABA – PANTANAL DE CACERES ( Jaguar Camp )
Reception at Cuiaba airport, depart for the Pantanal. First we travel 210 km on an asphalt road, then we drive along a hidden trail for another 90 km, we will have a pick nick lunch style along the way. Stop when we see interesting wildlife for photos. The travel time until we reach the Jaguar Camp will take approximately 6 hours. Arrive to the Camp late in the afternoon. The Jaguar Camp is situated along the banks of the Paraguay River next to the Taiama ecological reserve, a remote pantanal hotspot for Jaguar viewing. After diner we will go for a night safari by boat in search for nocturnal wildlife, looking for foxes, crab eating raccoons, owls, jaguars, ocelots, and other night wildlife. DAY 2 – PANTANAL WILDLIFE VIEWING TOURS / OFF THE BEATEN PATH
Early morning walking safari to spot animals and birds, including rheas, marsh deer, armadillos, storks, coatis, capybaras, hyacinth macaws, howler monkeys, and a dozen of other animals and birds. Return to the Camp for Lunch. Time to rest, or just enjoy the scenery, there are a lot of birds that come around the Camp. In the afternoon we go for a canoe trip looking for giant river otters, fish for piranhas, nature observation and birding opportunities. After diner we will go for a night safari by car in search for nocturnal wildlife, looking for foxes, crab eating raccoons, owls, pumas, ocelots, and other night wildlife. Overnight at Jaguar Camp. DAY 3 – Jaguar Photo Safári by Boat at TAIAMA ECOLOGICAL RESERVE
Full day boat tour to explore the Taiama Ecological Reserve, the reserve is located along the Paraguay river, 30 km downstream from the Jaguar Camp, the area has the highest density of Jaguar population in the entire Brazilian Pantanal, we have great chances to spot jaguars, we have 95 % chances to see Jaguar, specially from mid June to mid November. Early start, breakfast, embark in our motorized boat and travel downstream along the Paraguay river to the Estação Ecológica do Taiama, along the way we will also see other wildlife including giant river otters, caimans, capybaras, and many bird species. We will explore small channels and lakes, quite often we find the jaguars on the river banks, recent guest have seen several of these huge predators, during the day, many of them at very close range for extended periods. Later in the afternoon we return to Jaguar Camp for dinner and overnight. B, L, D.

DAY 4 – JAGUAR TRACKING TOUR / PARAGUAY RIVER
Early wake up, at around 05 am, pack up, depart and travel downstream along the Paraguay river , today we will go further down river and spend most of the day in this even more remote region, and one of the richest region for Jaguar and other cats, and tapirs. Recent guest have seen several of these huge predators, during the day, many of them at very close range for extended periods. Late afternoon we return to Jaguar Camp for dinner and overnight. Night safári with spotlights. B, L, D.

DAY 5 – PANTANAL TO CUIABA
After an early breakfast we go for a walking safari for our last exploration of this incredible area teeming with wildlife, look for anteaters, armadillos, tapirs, peccaries, coati, lizards, snakes, monkeys, toucans, falcons, storks, macaws, parrots and other wild animals. After lunch travel back to Cuiaba in time for your flight. End of our services. B, L.

ACCOMMODATIONS: JAGUAR CAMP
This simple and rustic Camp is located facing the river, with great views of the spectacular Paraguay River in front of the camp; the main house has a small dining area, 2 guest rooms, and a kitchen. The entire house is screened providing fresh air and protection from mosquitoes. There are two common bathrooms in a separate hut next to the main house. The dining and bar area is under the shady canopy of majestic trees and most meals are served in the open air. There is electricity only during the night. There is a Radio for permanent communication with the office and for any emergency.
