7 D / 6 N PANTANAL JAGUAR EXPEDITION / LODGE-BASED
Paraguay River, Taiama Reserve & Parque Nacional Caracara
This jaguar tracking tour takes you down the Paraguay River to explore two remote reserves: the Taiama Ecological Station and the Caracara National Park. The corridor along the Paraguay river between the two reserves is the richest area in the world for spotting jaguars in the wild. Jaguars are visible day and night, often from only 20-30 meters away, especially from mid-March to mid-November. No other location in the world can offer anything like the possibility of seeing wild jaguars as does the northern Pantanal of Brazil.
During the trip you will stay at two different lodges: our very own Jaguar Trackers floating lodge and the Fazenda Conceiçao lodge. The Jaguar Trackers floating lodge is a houseboat anchored on the Paraguay River in the vicinity of northern end of the Taiama Reserve, a remote Pantanal hotspot for jaguar viewing. The Fazenda Conceiçao lodge is located on the banks of the Paraguay River, halfway between the Taiama Reserve and the Parque Nacional do Caracara. These accommodations are the ideal places for travelers seeking tranquility and intimacy. If you're really looking to get off the beaten path, then this trip is perfect for you.
